Scientific-Technical Center of “KazTransOil” JSC

«Scientific-Technical Center of “KazTransOil” JSC» branch was established on September 4, 2000.

A basic mission of «Scientific-Technical Center of “KazTransOil” JSC» is: scientific researches, experimental, engineering and design and estimate works, aimed at development of new technologies and technical solutions with their further implementation in the network of main oil pipelines of Kazakhstan.

Main functions of филиала «Scientific-Technical Center of “KazTransOil” JSC» as of today are:

Research of rheological characteristics of Kazakhstani oil with the purpose of optimization of mode of its transportation;
Implementation of new import replacing depressants and rust inhibitors, developed on the basis of raw resources of Kazakhstan;
Development of design and estimated documentation and regulatory technical documents in the field of pipeline transport and ecology;
Improvement of processes of oil transportation through implementation of innovative technologies.

STC has the following scientific production structural divisions:

central laboratory, consisting of four laboratory groups – issues of pipeline transport, physics and chemical analyses and ecology, rust protection, experimental developments and adaptations;
Project and estimate sector, composed of nine groups;
Technical sector;
Regulatory control group and projects expertise;
environmental safety sector;
Metrology service;
Scientific-technical library.
